Sheila C Henn, CPA, CA is operating as SC Henn CPA since September 2023. Beginning her practice in 2014, Sheila values education, diversity, respect and flexibility. She has dedicated staff to assist in providing professional accounting services to the Saanich Peninsula and beyond.  Currently, we are looking to add another administrative assistant and a CPA or CPA student with minimum 1 year experience. ACCOUNTANT / OWNER

Sheila C Henn, CPA, CA

Sheila has a diverse background and is an accountant that likes to ensure all clients are respected equally. With a diverse client base that includes working on not-for-profit and small public sector audits and reviews, as well as with small business owners. Sheila has her audit license and enjoys working on audits and review engagements for companies, associations, Improvement Districts, and other not-for-profits.  In addition, Sheila has a large US tax base along with Canadian personal tax returns and estates and trusts.

The firm SC Henn CPA began in September 2023 with a new name following on the principles established as she had as a partner of Paterson Henn CPA (2014-Aug 2023). Since 2014, Sheila has continued to expand her knowledge and preparation in U.S. personal taxes, which is now a large and important part of her practice. Understanding all aspects of Canadian tax, along with individual US tax, helps ensure all areas of compliance and tax planning are met.

Sheila completed her Bachelor of Business Admin degree through Thompson Rivers University after completing a Business Administration Diploma and Office Management Diploma from Camosun College. She received her CPA (Chartered Accountant CA designation) in 2012, built on many years of experience working from reception to manager at a predecessor firm in Sidney, BC.

She became a board member of Able Sail Victoria Society (previously the Disability Sailing Association of BC Victoria Branch) in 2023 and is a past board member/treasurer of the Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce (2015-2019). She enjoys camping, sailing, hiking and cycling locally and spending time with her family and her dog Merlin.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Colleen Miscovitch

Colleen has an integral role in managing workflow and e-filing.  She is also assisting with corporate work and bookkeeping.  She recently completed a remote Bookkeeping Certificate at the University of the Fraser Valley. 

Colleen has missed her adventure travelling over the last few years but has filled the time with rambling walks on the many trails around Greater Victoria. She loves learning new things and tries to take one or two random courses in a year – most recently photography, Spanish, and website coding. She has also taken up gardening and knitting.

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Talyce Henkel

Talyce is our new, wonderful accounting technician, and we are lucky to have her with us. After working as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant for many years, she is looking towards pursuing her CPA designation. She has a great deal of experience in the field and is an asset to our team. 

She was born and raised in the Yukon and now has two amazing children of her own. Now that they are older, she is seeking to expand her career and further her knowledge in the field. She enjoys playing ice hockey in her free time and paddle boarding during the hot summer months. Additionally, she seeks to explore all corners of the world with her children and see everything life has to offer.
